'Weird Al' Spins Spring U.S. Tour

Comments

Music parody titan "Weird Al" Yankovic will hit the road in the United States for more than a month beginning March 24 in Akron, Ohio. The tour comes in support of his latest release, last year's "Poodle Hat" (Way Moby/ Volcano). Last month, the set won the Grammy for best comedy album.

Last year, Yankovic also released "The Ultimate Video Collection" on DVD. The set compiles all 24 of his parody and original music videos plus clips from his short-lived Saturday morning series "The Weird Al Show" and performance footage.

Released in May 2003, "Poodle Hat" debuted at No. 17 on The Billboard 200 and has sold 336,000 copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
