Warren G has released a remix of the single "Get U Down" featuring Snoop Dogg, Ice Cube and B. Real of Cypress Hill, which he is dedicating to the victims of Hurricane Katrina. The track can be found on the rapper's recently released fifth album, "In the Mid-Nite Hour" (Hawino/G-Funk).

"In my verse, I talk about the police handcuffing five-year-old girls, freeway shootings and I touch on situations that we need to look at," Warren G tells Billboard.com. "I wanted to address what's going on instead of talking about 24-inch rims on every song. This is a reality check."

The video for "Get U Down Part 2," directed by Kevin Hunter, includes scenes of destruction and rescue efforts along the Gulf Coast. A ringtone and video download are available through Jamster, with a portion of the proceeds to be donated to the Red Cross Hurricane Katrina relief.

"What makes the song great for the people of Hurricane Katrina is that the hook is telling them, 'Don't let anyone get you down.' That's how I wanted it to go," Warren G says. "I didn't want any of them to let what happened get them down. You can keep your head up and still keep faith in God and keep striving. Don't let it break you down. I've got family out there, too."

Warren G says he will embark on a nationwide college tour in the spring of 2006. "Right now, we're just trying to find the right act to go out with," he says. "Then we can go ahead and take it to another level with the tour."
