Eddie Vedder, Shakira and Clint Eastwood are among the nominees in music categories for the 65th annual Golden Globe awards. Vedder is nominated with Michael Brook and Kaki King for best original score for "Into the Wild," and his song "Guaranteed," from the same film, will vie for best original song.

Shakira's "Despedida" (co-written with Antonio Pinto"), from "Love in the Time of Cholera," is also up for best original song, as are Clint Eastwood and Carole Bayer Sager's title song from "Grace Is Gone," Alan Menken's "That's How You Know" from "Enchanted" and "Walk Hard" from "Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story," penned by Marshall Crenshaw, John C. Reilly, Judd Apatow and Jake Kasdan.

The other best original score nominees are Eastwood for "Grace Is Gone," Alberto Iglesias for "The Kite Runner," Dario Marianelli for "Atonement" and Howard Shore for "Eastern Promises."

In other music-related nominations, the Beatles-driven musical "Across the Universe" will battle "Charlie Wilson's War," "Hairspray," "Juno" and "Sweeney Todd" for best musical or comedy, while the blues-themed "The Great Debaters" is up for best drama.

The period British drama "Atonement" leads the overall field with seven nominations, followed by the Tom Hanks-starring "Charlie Wilson's War" with five. The Golden Globes will be handed out Jan. 13 during a ceremony at the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles.
