Vedder, Chili Peppers Set For Ramones Tribute

Pearl Jam's Eddie Vedder, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Rob Zombie, Green Day, the Offspring, and Rancid are among the artists confirmed to contribute to a Ramones tribute album, due for a spring release on DV8/Columbia. According to the label, some of the tracks are already completed, but most artists are expected to record their songs after the holiday season. Zombie is understood to be helming the album in tandem with Johnny Ramone.

No other additional information has yet surfaced on which artists are covering which tracks. According to Pearl Jam fan site Five Horizons, Vedder has already recorded "I Believe In Miracles" and one other song backed by Seattle rock act Zeke.

As previously reported, Joey Ramone's posthumous debut solo album, "Don't Worry About Me," will be released Feb. 19 through Sanctuary. Marky Ramone, the Damned's Captain Sensible, and Dictators bassist Andy Shernoff are among those making guest appearances. Ramone died April 15 in New York of cancer.
