U2 is plotting a return to North America for a fresh round of arena shows this fall, following a 33-date summer European run, Billboard Bulletin reports. "There is a distinct possibility we will be back here in the fall," says U2 manager Paul McGuinness. "We are in discussions at the moment, but I think the chances are pretty good." The current North American edition of the Elevation tour ends June 22 in East Rutherford, N.J.
The fall trek, for which dates are already being held in some cities, are likely to hit areas U2 didn't visit this time around, with possible return engagements at first-leg stops. The Elevation tour is expected to gross more than $115 million before it returns to North America.
