Controversial rapper Tyler, The Creator was arrested on suspicion of vandalism in his native Los Angeles on Thursday night (Dec. 22), a representative for the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department tells Billboard.com. The rapper is no longer in custody after being released on a $20,000 bond.

The 20-year-old rapper performed alongside Odd Future at the Roxy Theatre on Thursday night. According to a press release from the West Hollywood Sheriff's Station the Roxy staff contacted the police stating that Tyler had "destroyed an electronic soundboard belonging to the Roxy." Tyler (real name: Tyler Okonma) was reportedly taken into custody for felony vandalism in front of his mother, who was visibly shaken. A rep for Tyler, The Creator confirmed the details of the arrest, but has yet to issue an official statement.

Around 9 a.m. EST on Friday, Tyler posted on Twitter, "Whoa, Its Stories On Me Being In Jail? The Fuck? I Wasnt In No Jail Or Arrested Or Nothing."

Tyler, The Creator was arrested in West Hollywood last May for various minor charges, and posted photos of himself in handcuffs on his Twitter account. Left Brain, another member of Odd Future, currently faces a lawsuit from photographer Amy Harris, after the rapper allegedly struck Harris during an October performance.

Tyler, The Creator enjoyed a breakout 2011 in which he toured extensively alongside Odd Future; scored a Top 10 debut with his sophomore album, "Goblin"; and won the MTV Video Music Award for Best New Artist, after releasing a harrowing clip for his single, "Yonkers." Most recently, the rapper was featured in Game's creepy music video for the collaborative track "Martians Vs. Goblins."
