Trent Reznor was slated to follow-up his Oscar-winning musical contributions to "The Social Network" by scoring and acting in Tim Burton's upcoming vampire flick, "Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter."
But last week, the Nine Inch Nails frontman took to the band's official forum to announce that he is no longer involved with the project, which is adapted from Seth Grahame-Smith's novel of the same name.

"There's no juicy story here [regarding leaving "Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter"], it's just that when the news mysteriously leaked out about my involvement I hadn't made up my mind completely, because various aspects of the project were changing," Reznor explained in his forum post. "I felt the need to say something earlier this week because my inbox was filling up with speculation, and at that moment I thought I would be doing it."
Reznor confirmed his involvement with the film via a post on NIN's official forum on Mar. 7. In the post, he also gave an update on his future collaborations with "Social Network" score collaborator Atticus Ross and director David Fincher.
"Atticus and I are hard at work scoring David's next film ['The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo'], which will be opening this Christmas," Reznor said.

Additionally, Reznor is still "full engaged" with "Year Zero," the HBO mini-series based on the 2007 NIN album of the same title.
