Nashville Pussy, Soulfly, (hed)p.e., and Mudvayne have been added to the bill of the first annual Tattoo The Earth tour, also set to feature previously announced headliners Sevendust, Slipknot, and Coal Chamber. The tour, expected to play 25 North American dates at alternative venues such as racetracks and fairgrounds, will kick off in mid-July. A full itinerary is to be announced shortly.
The event will encompass two music stages, a festival village featuring tattoo, body piercing, and painting booths, and a celebration of "the cultural phenomenon of body art." At a July 15 date in Portland, Ore., Tattoo The Earth will merge with radio station KUFO's Rockfest, for which Stone Temple Pilots and Primus have already been confirmed.
