Irish band the Script made it two U.K. No. 1 albums from two releases as new sales data was unveiled by the Official Charts Company.

Their "Science & Faith" (Phonogenic/Sony Music Entertainment) sold 71,000 copies to claim the top spot on the new chart last night (Sept. 19), as "Start Without You" (Syco Music/Sony Music Entertainment), by Alexandra Burke featuring Laza Morgan, began a second week atop the singles chart.

The Script's self-titled debut album debuted at No. 1 on the U.K. bestsellers in August 2008, going on to sell 1.8 million copies, according to Sony. The sophomore set was previewed by the single "For The First Time (Times Are Hard)," which climbed 5-4 in its second chart week.

"Science & Faith" led four new entries at the top of the chart, in the first all-new top four since last October. Linkin Park's "A Thousand Sons" (Warner Bros./Warner Music) followed at No. 2, Robert Plant's "Band of Joy" (Decca/Universal) at No. 3 and Phil Collins' "Going Back" (Atlantic/Warner Music) at No. 4. "Sons" is Linkin Park's fifth top five U.K. album, while Plant's album is his highest-ranking with a solo record since his first, "Pictures At Eleven," in 1982. Collins was last this highly-ranked with a studio album when "Dance Into The Light" reached No. 4 in 1996.

Last week's new entry atop the album chart, Brandon Flowers' "Flamingo" (Vertigo/Universal), fell to No. 5, and there was a new entry at No. 10 for Interpol's self-titled album on Cooperative Music/V2/Universal).

Burke's single extended its reign as Taio Cruz's former No. 1 "Dynamite" (4th & Broadway/Universal Island) moved back 3-2, and Katy Perry's "Teenage Dream" (Virgin/EMI) fell to No. 3 after two weeks at No. 2. Usher climbed 14-7 with "DJ Got Us Falling In Love" (LaFace/Sony Music Entertainment), featuring Pitbull, and there was a No. 10 start for Shontelle's "Impossible" (Universal Island).

Billboard's pan-European charts show Perry's full-length "Teenage Dream" in a second frame atop European Albums, as "We Speak No Americano" (Sweat It Out/All Around The World/UMTV/Universal) by Yolanda Be Cool & Dcup leads European Hot 100 Singles, also for a second week.
