Six years must seem like nothing to The Darkness: it's been over a half-decade since the glam rockers released a stitch of new music, but on their comeback single, "Nothing's Gonna Stop Us," the reunited group is up to its old, guitar-heavy hijinks. The band debuted the partially animated video for the single on Wednesday (Feb. 1), the same day The Darkness begins its North American tour in Toronto.

"Nothing's Gonna Stop Us" essentially follows the same formula as the band's "Growing On Me" and "I Believe in a Thing Called Love," with mammoth vocal hooks, a screeching, "Rock Band"-ready guitar solo and singer Justin Hawkins wielding his mighty falsetto during the chorus. Unlike the videos for those past hits, The Darkness document their goofy adventure in 2-D animation here -- Dan Hawkins and Frankie Poullain play Hawkins' mustache as a guitar at one point, and at another, a trio of flamingos takes over the instrumentation for the group.

The new single previews the U.K. group's full-length follow-up to 2005's "One Way Ticket To Hell… and Back," which is set for a spring release and does not yet have a title but will likely have a worse title than "One Way Ticket To Hell… and Back." After The Darkness scored a massive stateside hit with "I Believe in a Thing Called Love," which has sold 647,000 copies in the U.S. according to Nielsen SoundScan, the group released a pair of albums and disbanded in 2006. The group officially reunited for Britain's Download Festival last June.

"We've been through a lot, just in the last year, and all it's done is made us closer," Justin Hawkins told Billboard.com in December. "We understand each other now, where I think we were still finding things out about each other along the way...When we do have a sit-down now and clarify things, we already know what each other's thinking. It's just like classic brothers, really; I suppose we're old enough to understand each other now."

If you believe in a thing called seeing The Darkness in concert, the group has plotted a 17-date tour for February which wraps up Feb. 25 in Seattle.
