In an unrelated incident, Tim Kelly, guitarist for veteran rock act Slaughter, died from injuries suffered in a collision Thursday evening on a remote highway in Arizona. Kelly, 34, was driving on State Route 96 when an 18-wheel tractor trailer jackknifed and collided with his vehicle. Slaughter has released five albums and toured incessantly since its inception in 1990. The band, currently signed to the CMC label, was slated to take part in the Rock Never Stops tour with Warrant, Quiet Riot, Firehouse, and L.A. Guns from mid-May through the summer; there has been no word as to how Kelly's death will affect the tour. Kelly, a Philadelphia native, lived in Kingman, Ariz.
