Taylor Swift had an amazing 2009 -- and her 2010 isn't starting off too bad, either. Last night (Jan. 6), the 20-year-old country-pop sensation added a People's Choice Award for Favorite Female Artist to her ever-growing list of statuettes.

"Thank you. What a beautiful, beautiful way to start out a new decade," Swift said, accepting her award in a strapless white dress at Los Angeles' Nokia Theatre during the 36th annual ceremony. " I want to thank the fans. You're the ones who choose which songs on the radio you want to turn up and blast from your car speakers. And you're the ones who choose which concerts you want to go see. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for choosing to give me this award. This is my first People's Choice Award. I love you so much. Thank you."

Swift, whose 'Fearless' album is the top-selling album of 2009, beat out Britney Spears, Carrie Underwood, Pink and Beyoncé for the award. Swift was nominated in two other categories: Favorite Country Artist, which went to Carrie Underwood, and Favorite Pop Artist, which went to Lady Gaga.

In other categories, top honors for the night went to "Twilight," which led the multi-nomination contenders with four wins across six categories. "New Moon" star Taylor Lautner (who also happens to be Swift's ex-boyfriend and her"Valentine's Day" co-star) took home Favorite Breakout Movie Star and shared Favorite On-Screen Team with Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart. "Twilight" took Favorite Movie and "The Twilight Saga" took Favorite Franchise.

A record 60 million votes were cast in deciding this year's winners. We'll see how Swift fairs with Grammy voters on January 31, where she's nominated for eight awards and will once again compete against Beyonce for the night's two top honors -- Album of the Year and Record of the Year.
