Taylor Swift Climbs Hot 100, Black Eyed Peas Still No. 1

The Black Eyes Peas' "I Gotta Feeling" reigns for a 13th week on the Billboard Hot 100, besting the 12-week stay at the summit of "Boom Boom Pow," the Peas' previous single that directly preceded its follow-up at No. 1.

Meanwhile, after becoming the first country artist to win a Moonman at the MTV Video Music Awards Sept. 13, Taylor Swift continues her trailblazing ways, rising to the top of Radio Songs/Hot 100 Airplay.

With an audience of 117 million, Swift's "You Belong With Me" edges the Peas' "I Gotta Feeling" by 25,000 impressions for the honor of most-heard song on U.S. radio this week. Swift's song becomes the first country crossover track to rule Radio Songs since the list began incorporating Nielsen BDS-monitored data in 1990.

Like Swift, fellow VMAs performer Jay-Z benefits from added exposure at the festivities, soaring with two tracks in the top five. "Run This Town," with Rihanna and Kanye West, advances 4-2 with Greatest Gainer/Airplay honors (90 million in all-format audience, up 16%), and "Empire State of Mind," Jay-Z's duet with Alicia Keys, vaults 50-5 with the chart's Greatest Gainer/Digital award. The latter title rockets 23-1 on Digital Songs with sales of 205,000 downloads (up 374%). The pair performed the song to close the VMAs.

Elsewhere in the top 10, Jay Sean's "Down" dips 2-3, Miley Cyrus' "Party in the U.S.A." descends 3-6 and Lady Gaga, best new artist winner at the VMAs, blasts 18-7 with "Paparazzi."

"Forever," by Drake featuring Kanye West, Lil Wayne and Eminem, launches at No. 8 on the Hot 100. The superstar track previews the upcoming LeBron James documentary, "More Than a Game."

Kings of Leon's "Use Somebody" retreats 5-9 on the Hot 100, and Jason DeRulo's "Whatcha Say" drops 7-10.

Elsewhere on the song charts, two familiar names return to the top R&B/Hip-Hop Songs. From its new album "No Regrets," vocal group All-4-One logs its first entry in 13 years, as "My Child" arrives at No. 88. The band enjoyed multi-format success with the ballads "I Swear" and "I Can Love You Like That" in the '90s. At No. 96, Toni Braxton bows with "Yesterday." The singer, who last appeared on the chart in 2006 and shined on ABC-TV's "Dancing With the Stars" last year, will release her Atlantic Records debut album next year.

Justin Moore is the first solo male artist to take a track from a debut album to No. 1 on Country Songs in more than three years. "Small Town USA," from the singer's eponymous debut, rises 3-1. The last male rookie to achieve the feat? Jason Aldean, who reached the summit with "Why" in May 2006.

On Rock Songs, Death Cab For Cutie blasts in at No. 29 with "Meet Me on the Equinox." The song previews the Oct. 20 soundtrack "The Twilight Saga: New Moon," which will also boast music from Thom Yorke, the Killers, OK Go and Muse.
