T.I. may be back behind bars, but like Lil Wayne, he's not letting that stop him from releasing a new album. The rapper announced Wednesday (Nov. 3) that "No Mercy," his much-anticipated first studio release since 2008's "Paper Trail," will hit stores on Dec. 7.

"No Mercy's" lead single, "Get Back Up" featuring Chris Brown, is currently at No. 55 on R&B/Hip-Hop Songs and No. 25 on Rap Songs. The music video premiered Wednesday evening on BET's "106th and Park."

T.I. Reports to Prison

Originally titled "King Uncaged," "No Mercy" will also see T.I. collaborating with Kanye WestEminemChristina Aguilera and The-Dream. The rapper worked on the album with such A-list producers as Jim Jonsin, who was behind the boards on 2008's "Whatever You Like," Danja and Dr. Luke.

The release date for "No Mercy" comes just two days after T.I. returned to jail for for violating his federal probation with a Sept. 1 drug arrest in Los Angeles. No charges were filed against the rapper, but a federal judge sentenced him to an additional 11 months in prison.

The rapper had been free since March after serving a 10-month sentence for federal weapons charges. During that time, he released a mixtape entitled "Fuck a Mixtape" to preview his first post-prison full-length.

"Paper Trail" has sold 2.1 million copies since its release, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
