Russian pop duo t.A.T.u. has enlisted such unlikely collaborators as Sting and the Carpenters' Richard Carpenter for its sophomore album, "Dangerous and Moving." Due Oct. 11 via Interscope, the 12-track set finds Sting playing bass on "Friend or Foe" and Carpenter arranging and conducting the string parts on "Gomenasai."

"Dangerous and Moving" is the follow-up to t.A.T.u.'s 2002 breakthrough, "200 km/h in the Wrong Lane," which has sold more than 760,000 copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan. The single "All the Things She Said" garnered airplay at several formats, including Latin pop and tropical/salsa stations.

Group members Julia Volkova and Lena Katina have garnered arguably more interest in their alleged sexual relationship as they have for their music. "Our first video was about to love between two girls," Katina says. "We do not pretend to be lesbians -- we've never said we were. Julia just had a baby and currently has a girlfriend, and we've both always had boyfriends. We share a special bond."

The new album's first single, "All About Us," is due to begin infiltrating dance clubs this month and will be serviced to top 40 radio in October.
