Stars Crowd Stevie Wonder Tribute

Universal/Motown Records has set a March 18 release date for "Conception: An Interpretation of Stevie Wonder's Songs." The tribute set will feature 14 selections from Wonder's catalog re-envisioned by the likes of Joe, Glenn Lewis, Eric Clapton, Angie Stone, Mary J. Blige, and more.

Wonder's 1982 track "That Girl," as interpreted by Joe featuring Mr. Cheeks, will be the first single released from the set. Other cuts include Clapton's take on "Higher Ground," Angie Stone's rendition of "You Will Know," Glenn Lewis' turn on "Superstition," Mary J. Blige's version of "Overjoyed," Musiq's "Visions," Brian McKnight's "Send One Your Love," and Black Coffey's stab at "Rocket Love."

John Mellencamp, Dave Hollister, India.Arie, and Marc Anthony are also expected to contribute tracks. Wonder's duet with Arie, "Christmas Song," recorded for a television ad for retailer Target, was recently nominated for a best pop collaboration with vocals Grammy.

As for Wonder, he is reportedly working on a new studio album, which will be his first since 1995's "Conversation Peace." That set debuted at No. 2 on Billboard's Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums tally and No. 16 on The Billboard 200.
