Spokesperson: Winehouse Family 'Would Entertain' Film Ideas

A film on the life of Amy Winehouse may be a possibility after all.

"Mitch [Winehouse] and the family would entertain ideas perhaps for a film but only one they were sure would tell the truth," a family spokesman told Entertainment Weekly.

On Monday, the Winehouse patriarch told the Daily Mail that he wouldn't lend his daughter's music to a rumored biopic to be produced by Reg Traviss, a Winehouse ex-boyfriend.

"It would hardly be a biopic without the music and we'd never allow the songs to be released," Mitch told the paper.

And on his Twitter page, he shot down a casting rumor: "I never said Lady Gaga will play Amy in film," he wrote.

Winehouse's father is at work on a memoir of his daughter to be released by HarperCollins, with proceeds to benefit the Amy Winehouse Foundation. The late singer's posthumous release, "Lioness: Hidden Treasures," is also benefiting the foundation, which launched in September to commemorate what would've been her 28th birthday.
