spinART reissues EBTG, Nesmith Albums

Comments

New York-based independent label spinART has just reissued the solo albums from the members of U.K. dance/pop duo Everything But The Girl and plans to re-release a solo album from former Monkees guitarist Michael Nesmith later this month.

Last month, the label re-issued "North Marine Drive," the 1983 solo set from Everything But The Girl's Ben Watt, simultaneously with "A Distant Shore," a solo set (originally released at about the same time) from Watt's partner, Tracey Thorn.

The Nesmith album, 1992's "Tropical Campfire," is to be reissued June 19 through a deal with U.K. label Cooking Vinyl. The label also plans to reissue the Ewan MacColl album "Black and White," previously released by Cooking Vinyl. MacColl, father of the late Kirsty MacColl, is the writer of the Robert Flack hit "The First Time I Saw Your Face."
