Spin Doctors' Singer Diagnosed With Vocal Paralysis

The Spin Doctors' lead singer Chris Barron has been diagnosed with a rare paralysis of his vocal chords. According to Universal Records, the group's label, Barron is continuing to meet with medical specialists, although doctors have indicated that the singer may never regain the full use of his voice. Presently, he cannot speak above a whisper.

All promotional activities for the band have been put on hold until further information is known about Barron's condition

The Spin Doctors released their first studio album in over three years, "Here Comes The Bride," in early June on the new DAS/Universal label. The group, which burst onto the scene in 1991 with its major-label debut "Pocket Full Of Kryptonite," is known for the hits "Two Princes" and "Little Miss Can't Be Wrong.
