The show, which aired live on the Univision network, was moved from last year's May airdate to take advantage of February sweeps and to beat other awards shows to the small screen. Premios Lo Nuestro is the oldest televised Latin awards show in the country.
Winners were voted upon by radio programmers nationwide. This year, organizers created a popular vote category, where visitors to Univision's Web site could vote for their favorite artists. Winners in the category were Carlos Vives, Banda El Recodo, and Azul Azul.
Ranchero singer Joan Sebastian, pop singer Chayanne, and Argentine icon Libertad Lamarque -- who died last year -- received special honors at the ceremony. For a complete list of winners, visit the event's official Web site.
