Snoop Regroups With Dogg Pound For Album, Tour

Snoop Dogg and Tha Dogg Pound have reunited to record the album, "Cali Iz Active," which will arrive June 27 via Koch and Snoop Dogg's Doggy Style Records. The set features guest appearances by Busta Rhymes, David Banner, Paul Wall and B-Real, in addition to production by Sean "Diddy" Combs, the Alchemist and Jazze Pha.

The first single is the title track, which was produced by Battlecat. "A lot of people came together to make this Dogg Pound record the biggest and best it can be, and with Snoop's leadership we can never go wrong," says Kurupt, also known as Young Gotti. Snoop Dogg adds, "I'm letting everybody know that the West Coast is definitely making a strong comeback."

Tha Dogg Pound will serve as the opening act for Ice Cube's upcoming tour, which kicks off April 20 in Anaheim, Calif. and runs through June.

Daz Dillinger and Kurupt released their first album, "Dogg Food," in 1995 as Tha Dogg Pound, after contributing to debut efforts by both Dr. Dre's "The Chronic" and Snoop's "Doggystyle." The duo's last album, 2005's "Dillinger & Young Gotti, Vol. 2: Tha Saga Continues," has sold 113,000 copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
