"It's so nice to be working with people that care about what I care about: making good music, having a good time, and just getting it out there," Slash said in a statement about signing to Koch. Produced by Jack Douglas (Aerosmith, Alice Cooper), the completed album includes vocalist Rod Jackson, drummer Matt Laug, guitarist Kerry Kelly, and bassist Johnny Blackout.
Slash, who has also been asked to contribute to Rod Stewart's upcoming album, will hit the road with his band beginning Aug. 1 in support of AC/DC.
Stabbing Westward, which was formerly signed to Columbia, will be in the studio through the rest of this year, working with noted producer Bob Rock. The band's Koch debut is due in March 2001. Stabbing Westward's last album, 1998's "Darkest Days," peaked at No. 52 on The Billboard 200.
Starr is also working on his as-yet-untitled Koch debut, due out at the end of October, and will begin production on the video for first single "Die 4 Rap" later this summer. The former Onyx member will also be seen this summer in the Paramount feature film "Save The Last Dance."
Starr is a regular on the UPN sitcom "Moesha," and has appeared in the films "Strapped," "Clockers," and "Light It Up."
