Seasonal Music Splits The Crowd

Comments

A lot of people appreciate the onslaught of seasonal music that floods airwaves, stores and just about everywhere during December, according to a Billboard.com poll. But a lot of people don't.

Of 2,388 respondents, 38% fell on the entirely positive side of the fence, while 34% were squarely negative regarding seasonal fare. The other 28% were more or less sitting on Santa's fence.

Only 13% said they can't get enough of everything form "White Christmas" to "Feliz Navidad," while 25% found that the ubiquitous tones of this time of year were appropriate.

Another 14% said they enjoy the jolly tunes when they first start, but are nauseated by the time New Year's Eve rolls around. Just 4% were indifferent towards the whole sleigh full of sounds, while 11% leaned towards limiting their exposure.

But it's the 34% that tossed a big 'Bah Humbug!' into the mix, saying they absolutely detest the annual change of format to the songs of the season.
