Alternative act School of Seven Bells is offering fans a free download of a new track, "Babelonia," as a preview of its sophomore set "Disconnect From Desire."

The five-minute slice of dream pop suggests the trio has moved on from its promising 2008 debut "Alpinisms" to a bigger, more confident sound.

The New York-based band features former Secret Machines member Ben Curtis and twin sister vocalists Claudia and Alejandra Deheza.

"Disconnect From Desire" is released July 12 on Full Time Hobby in the U.K. and July 13 via Vagrant Records in the U.S. The free download is available here.

The album, produced by Curtis and mixed by Jack Joseph Puig, was recorded in the band's home studio and mixed in Los Angeles at Ocean Way Recording.
