The artist is currently at work on a new studio album. His last release, 2001's "MTV Unplugged" (WEA Latina) reached No. 1 on Billboard's Top Latin Albums and Latin Pop Albums charts. His last studio album, 2000's "Al Alma al Aire," topped out at No. 2 on the Latin Pop chart and No. 3 on the Top Latin Albums tally.
The Billboard Latin Music Conference, presented by Heineken and in association with Garnier Fructis, will be held May 5-8 at the Eden Roc Resort in Miami Beach. For more information, click here.
The Billboard Latin Music Awards Show, honoring the best and brightest stars in Latin music, will close the conference on May 8 at the Miami Arena and will be produced and broadcast by Telemundo. As previously reported, Las Ketchup and Pilar Montenegro top the list as finalists in seven categories; close behind is Juanes, who is listed in six categories.
