RZA Fires Off 'Digital Bullet' In July

RZA, the principal producer behind the Wu-Tang Clan, will release a follow up to his 1998 solo album "Bobby Digital In Stereo," tentatively titled "Digital Bullet," on July 3 via Koch/In The Paint. Although there's no word yet on RZA's collaborators, the vast majority of guests on "Bobby Digital" were Wu-Tang members, such including Method Man, Ol' Dirty Bastard, Ghostface Killah, U-God, and Inspectah Deck.

"Bobby Digital In Stereo," which was released on Gee Street/V2, peaked at No. 16 on The Billboard 200 and at No. 3 on Billboard's Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. The set has sold 460,000 copies in the U.S., according to SoundScan. "Bobby Digital In Stereo" was a soundtrack to the film "Bobby Digital," which was written, produced, and directed by RZA. According to the official Wu-Tang Web site, RZA will stage a Bobby Digital tour this summer.

Meanwhile, Wu-Tang member Cappadonna is releasing "The Yin And The Yang" (Razor Sharp/Epic) tomorrow (March 27), and Method Man, Raekwon, Ghostface Killah, and Masta Killa are all expected to issue new albums later this year. Ol' Dirty Bastard is currently imprisoned in New York, and could face up to seven years for a 1999 arrest when he was allegedly found with 20 vials of crack.
