RuffHouse Records has inked rapper Kool Keith to an exclusive worldwide solo deal. A founding member of hip-hop act Ultramagnetic MCs, Keith also records for DreamWorks under the guise Dr. Octagon. His first RuffHouse album, which will feature numerous guests, is tentatively slated for a mid-summer or early fall release.
In addition, Keith has recently collaborated with psychedelic rave collective Hardkiss on a cut for the second volume of Astralwerk's "Amp" series. Titled "Abandon Ship (Sharks & Mermaids mix)," the track got its public debut this March at the Winter Music Conference in Miami.
