Rossdale Goes Solo For 'Wanderlust'

Comments

Former Bush/Institute frontman Gavin Rossdale has wrapped his first solo album, "Wanderlust." Due June 3 via Interscope, the set is led by the single "Love Remains the Same," which hit iTunes yesterday (April 1).

Rossdale's wife, Gwen Stefani, lends vocals to the track "Some Days." The album was produced by Bob Rock and finds Rossdale collaborating with drummer Josh Freese, guitarist Chris Traynor, bassist Paul Bushnell and keyboardist Jamie Muhoberac.

Institute's lone album, 2005's "Distort Yourself," topped out at No. 81 on The Billboard 200 and has sold just 54,000 copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan. The single "Bullet-Proof Skin" reached No. 26 on both Billboard's Modern and Mainstream Rock charts.

Rossdale's only live appearance for now is set for tomorrow at the Hard Rock in Orlando, Fla., as part of a benefit for Musicians on Call.
