Roc's Young Gunz To Fire In January

With Roc-A-Fella flagship artist Jay-Z planning to retire after the release of his next record, "The Black Album," his label will look to its Young Gunz to keep the flame alive. The Philadelphia-based hip-hop duo will release its debut album, "Tough Luv" on Jan. 13.

Young Gunz, made up of "Young Chris" Ries and Hanif "Neef" Muhammed, have raised anticipation for the set with the success of the single "Can't Stop, Won't Stop," which hit No. 10 on Billboard's Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles & Tracks chart last month and No. 15 on the Hot 100. The song was included on "State Property Presents the Chain Gang Vol. II," the second album by Young Gunz' extended crew State Property.

Guest appearances on "Tough Luv" will include Jay-Z, Beanie Sigel & State Property and Cam'ron. Juelz Santana lends his rhymes to "Rich Girl," whose hook interpolates the Hall & Oates song of the same name, while Chingy helps out on a remix version of "Can't Stop, Won't Stop." Just Blaze, Bink, Digga, Chad West and EZ L-Pee manned the album's beats.

"State Property Presents the Chain Gang Vol. II" debuted at No. 6 on The Billboard 200 in August and has sold 205,000 copies in the U.S., according to Nielsen SoundScan.
