As she prepares to launch a North American tour, Swedish electro-pop diva Robyn is forging ahead with plans to release three "Body Talk" albums, possibly getting all of them out before the end of the calendar year.

"It's a practical solution to the problem of me not being in the studio as much as I would like to," Robyn [née Carlsson] tells Billboard.com. "I'm going to keep writing and hopefully be able to release stuff more frequently than before -- in exactly what form, I don't know. If it's four songs or 10, I'm going to be listening to my heart and doing it the way I want to, which is really exciting and very liberating."

Robyn Brings 'Body Talk' to U.S.

Robyn released "Body Talk, Pt. 1" -- her first album in five years -- last month. It debuted at No. 1 in her homeland and at No. 97 on the Billboard 200 and features the single "Dancing on My Own." Meanwhile, she's just finished mixing "Body Talk, Pt. 2," which she hopes to release in the early fall.

Robyn wrote the songs for the album "at the same time as Pt. 1" and worked mostly with primary "Body Talk, Pt. 1" collaborator Klas Ahlund. She also did a track with the Stockholm duo Savage Skulls, "these really young guys who are part of a scene that I probably would've gotten into if I wasn't away so much when I was younger. There's this dance club, kind of hardcore dance scene in Stockholm that's really interesting to me and they're a part of it."

The second "Body Talk" should also include a team-up with Snoop Dogg, though Robyn says she's still nailing down the appropriate permissions. "It's a great song...that I worked on for a couple of years," she explains. "It was really cool to be able to be in the studio with him, first because I always was a fan but also because he was really creative and we had so much of an exchange in being there together, both as vocalists. I had an idea and he really got it and got into it, which was awesome. I think it puts Snoop where he's supposed to be, which is some place that's very gangsta."

Robyn says he has "a couple songs" already written for "Body Talk, Pt. 3" but has not started recording the album out. Nevertheless, she hopes it will be finished and released "before the year is over."

Meanwhile, Robyn performs July 15 at the Arvika Festival in Sweden before kicking off her North American All Hearts tour, which she'll co-headline with Kelis, the next day at the Pitchfork Festival in Chicago. She plays festivals in Norway, Sweden and the U.K. in August and has four more U.K. dates booked for October.
