"The All-Star Sessions" was overseen by four "team captains" -- Slipknot's Joey Jordison, Machine Head's Robert Flynn, Trivium's Matthew Heafy and ex-Fear Factory member Dino Cazares -- who each wrote and produced material. No Roadrunner United participant was allowed to play for more than one team captain, with each song promising a different vocalist.
Jordison's material counts titles like "Constitution Down" (with Floodgate's Kyle Thomas), "Tired 'N Lonely" (with Life Of Agony's Keith Caputo) and "Annihilation by the Hand of God (with Deicide's Glen Benton). Other highlights include Flynn's "The Rich Man", which features Slipknot's Corey Taylor, Heafy's session with the Misfits' Michale Graves for the track "Superheroes" and Cazares' collaboration with Chimaira vocalist Mark Hunter on "The Enemy."
"The All Star Sessions" will also count special additional material from Type O Negative's longtime producer and keyboardist Josh Silver, a former Roadrunner artist. "Roads," which features Opeth's Mikael Akerfeldt on vocals, is among the Silver-penned material.
