Owner of Cintas Acuario, a small recording studio in Long Beach, Don Pedro Rivera, often nicknamed the godfather of Narco-Corrido, has given a start to many young Narco-Corrido stars. Narco-Corrido bands, a genre of music that includes a mix of crude lyrics about Mexican drug dealers, their exploits and traditional Mexican music, are hugely popular and banned from being played on the radio in several Mexican states.

The Rivera family -- stars Jenni Rivera, Lupillo Rivera, Juan Rivera and their father, industry icon Pedro Rivera -- will all sit together on a unique and historic industry panel during Billboard's Regional Mexican Music Summit in October.

Considered the leading family of regional Mexican music in the United States, the Riveras have never shared the podium before at an industry event. The family will discuss its history in the industry, from Pedro Rivera's launch of his indie label, Cintas Acuario, to the successful careers of Lupillo Rivera, Jenni Rivera and now, Juan Rivera.

Most recently, Jenni Rivera -- one of the top-selling and most dynamic female figures in the genre -- became the first regional Mexican artist to sell out two consecutive performances at Los Angeles' Nokia Theater, with an attendance of nearly 20,000 last month.

The "Rivera Dynasty" panel will take place 2:30-3:30 Oct. 8 as part of the Regional Mexican Music Summit at the Los Angeles Hyatt Regency Century Plaza hotel.

The Riveras join a roster of star panelists that include superstar Alejandro Fernández, featured in the star Q&A; corrido stars Larry Hernandez (currently No. 7 on Billboard's Top Latin Albums chart); and singer/songwriter Espinoza Paz, who hit No. 1 on both sales and radio charts earlier this year and currently has two titles on the top 20 of the Latin Albums chart.
