Rihanna has stripped down as the latest face of Nivea cosmetics: a topless shot of the pop star, who will help spearhead the brand's 100-year anniversary as the spokesperson for its '100 Years of Skincare for Life" campaign, was released today (Mar. 3).

"Over the past 100 years, Niva has been an iconic skincare brand across the world. Rihanna is a music icon and her digital footprint will help us bring our anniversary celebration to consumers wherever they are," says Markus Pinger, member of the Nivea board, in a statement.

The official campaign will launch in May, just as Rihanna is preparing to embark on her Nivea-sponsored Loud tour, which kicks off June 4 in Baltimore.

The elegant look in the Nivea photo strikes a different chord than Rihanna's sexually charged get-ups in the music video for "S&M." The racy single jumps two spots to No. 5 on this week's Hot 100, giving the singer her 13th top five hit on the chart.
