Cheryl Cole achieved her second solo No. 1 album and Rihanna her third solo chart-topping single as new U.K. sales data was published by the Official Charts Company.

Rihanna's "Only Girl (In The World)" (Def Jam/Universal) climbed 2-1 last night (Nov. 7) to trade places with Cole's "Promise This" (Polydor/Universal), but Cole saw her sophomore solo set "Messy Little Raindrops" debut at the top. It's the follow-up to "3 Words," which debuted at No. 1 a year ago and has now sold some 900,000 copies, according to the OCC.

The top ten of the new album chart was full of new entries, with Bon Jovi's "Greatest Hits" (Mercury/Universal) in at No. 2 and Anglo-Pakistani vocal discovery Rumer's "Seasons of My Soul" (Atlantic/Warner Music) at No. 3. Kings of Leon's "Come Around Sundown" (Hand Me Down/Sony Music Entertainment), the U.K.'s favorite album for the last two weeks, fell to No. 4 as Rod Stewart's "Fly Me To The Moon - American Songbook V" (J/Sony Music Entertainment) opened at No. 5.

Michael Bublé's "Crazy Love" (Reprise/Warner Music) dropped 2-6, with Jamiroquai's "Rock Dust Light Star" (Mercury/Universal) in at No. 7, Neil Diamond's "Dreams" (Columbia/Sony Music Entertainment) at No. 8 and Peter Andre's "Accelerate" (Conehead) at No. 10. Ne-Yo's "Libra Scale" (Def Jam/Universal) just missed the top ten, debuting at No. 11.

Rihanna's "Only Girl" sold 134,000 copies in its second week for a two-week total of 260,000, says the OCC. She previously topped the U.K. singles chart with "Umbrella" in 2007 and "Take A Bow" in 2008, and also featured with Kanye West on Jay-Z's No. 1 "Run This Town" last year. Rihanna has also had five No. 2 hits in her five-year U.K. chart career.

"America's Got Talent" graduate Alexis Jordan's "Happiness" (Rocnation/Starroc/Columbia/Sony Music Entertainment), which topped Billboard's  Hot Dance Airplay in June, opened its U.K. account at No. 3, as Katy Perry's "Firework" (Virgin/EMI) climbed 6-4. "Higher" by British female pop act the Saturdays, featuring Flo Rida, made a burst for the top ten in its ninth chart week, 22-10, and "Check It Out" (Interscope/Universal) by will.i.am featuring Nicki Minaj opened at No. 11.

Shakespears Sister's 1992 U.K. No. 1 "Stay" (London/Universal), reactivated by a performance of the song by current "X Factor" contestant Cher Lloyd, raced 64-12.

"Come Around Sundown" is in its second week atop Billboard's European Albums chart, while the Rihanna track leads the Europe-wide Hot 100 Singles survey.
