As the feud between actress Lindsay Lohan and rapper Pitbull continues to escalate, Lohan has reportedly made it clear she wants no part of the hip-hop artist's recent concession.

According to The Hollywood Gossip, the "Mean Girls" actress has rejected Pitbull's apology and declined his invitation to accompany him at the MTV Video Music Awards, slated for this Sunday evening at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles.

Lohan is suing the Gold-certified dance floor rapper over "defamatory statements" in his song "Give Me Everything," which contains the lyric, "I got it locked up like Lindsay Lohan," apparently referencing the actress' multiple brushes with the law. Lohan identifies herself as a "professional actor of good repute and standing in the Screen Actors Guild" and is suing under a New York civil rights law that protects people from "having their name exploited for commercial purposes."

In a recent interview with Planetpit.com, Pitbull said, "I didn't mean to defame, degrade, or hurt (Lohan's) career." The Cuban star stressed the double meaning of the lyric and claimed it was meant to bring notoriety to the socialite's persona.

Co-writing R&B singers Ne-Yo and Afrojack will also be defendants in the suit. Coming from the album "Planet Pit," the single has peaked at number one in six countries, including the United States and United Kingdom.

Although Lohan will not be in attendance, Pitbull is slated to perform the song at the VMAs, along with Ne-Yo, Afrojack, and up-and-coming Latin vocalist Nayer, who also guested on the cut.
