Remaining 3LW Members Deny Allegations

3LW members Adrienne Bailon and Kiely Williams are denying allegations by Naturi Naughton that she was forced out of the R&B trio. As reported yesterday, Naughton recently said in an interview with WBLS New York that she exited because of tensions within the group.

During the interview, Naughton alleged that she faced complaints about her image and performance. She also claimed Williams threw a plate of food at her during an argument.

"We've been disappointed by the comments Naturi has made," Bailon said in a statement. "Like most girlfriends, we've had our share of differences. However, at no time was Naturi subjected to any physical abuse. We totally deny claims made against us."

"I know this sounds like a juicy story to people," Williams added, "but it's really disappointing to see that there are those who have judged the situation before even hearing our point of view."

In the interview, Naughton said her fellow 3LW members questioned her loyalty to Michelle Williams, the group's manager and Kiely Williams's legal guardian. She also made claims of favoritism and racially motivated mistreatment by Michelle Williams.

"My mom was around us everyday," Kiely Williams explained in the statement. "And those who know us, know that she would not hesitate to check me when needed. As far as color is concerned, this group was supposed to bring girls of color together, not tear them apart. That's why we all looked so different in the first place. We were trying to show that beauty and talent comes in all shades."

Bailon and Williams plan to fulfill their slate promotional plans of performances and appearances in support of the forthcoming album 3LW "A Girl Can Mack." Due Oct. 1 via Epic, the set features guest appearances by Naughty By Nature member Treach, Loon, and Lil Kim, and production by P. Diddy, Mario Winans, Montell Jordan, and Lil Steve Russell.

As for the situation with Naughton, the duo said, "We hope to resolve our differences shortly so we can all go on with our lives."
