Rare Phair, Yorn Tracks Hit The 'Trampoline'

Previously unreleased and rare songs from the likes of Liz Phair, Pete Yorn, the Wallflowers, Chris Stills and Semisonic's Dan Wilson appear on the second compilation from Los Angeles. label Trampoline Records. Founded last year by Yorn, the Wallflowers' Rami Jaffee and Marc Dauer of the Jukebox Junkies, the label has already made the album available online earlier this month. The 18-track collection, dubbed "Greatest Hits Vol. II," sells for $10, and is also available as a $6 download.

Trampoline is currently without a distribution deal, but expects to have one in place in coming months. Until then, the compilation is only available via the Trampoline Web site. Other artists on the set include Jonny Polonsky, the Few, Fleshpot and actress Minnie Driver, who is making her recording debut. The Wallflowers contribute a cover of Julian Lennon's '80s smash "Too Late for Goodbyes."

To promote the album, Yorn is headlining a Nov. 1 show in Seattle at the Crocodile Cafe. Also appearing will be Jaffee, Minibar, the Jukebox Junkies and Trampoline's first signing, Nadine. Other concerts are being planned for later in the year.

Trampoline's first compilation was released last fall, and featured selections from Phil Cody, the Minus 5, Jeff Trott, Pete Droge and Rusty Truck, among others.
