Presidents Of The United States Of America Return

Download site Musicblitz will release "Freaked Out And Small," a new album from the Presidents (formerly the Presidents Of The United States Of America) in September. A preview track, "Jupiter," is currently available for free download from the site. The Seattle-based trio disbanded in 1997 after two studio albums for Columbia and a 1995 No. 1 hit on Billboard's Modern Rock Tracks chart, "Lump."

In addition, Musicblitz.com has signed a deal with Koch International for offline distribution of new releases and compilation CDs culled from the site's roster of artists. Musicblitz has one-off deals with a number of artists, including Aimee Mann, Taj Mahal, and Motorhead.

The first releases under the new pact will be "Reggaeblitz All-Star," a compilation of 16 newly recorded tracks from various artists, and a new album from Wailing Souls. Each will be available at retail and at Musicblitz.com beginning July 11.
