The result put the late singer's Blackground/Universal set ahead of Beyoncé's "Dangerously in Love" (Columbia) which nabbed 26% in the poll. The latter collection ranked No. 12 on the year-end chart.
OutKast's "Speakerboxxx/The Love Below" (LaFace/Arista) was the only other release to net double digits in the poll, garnering 11% of the vote to rank third. The album finished at No. 15 on the year-end R&B/Hip-Hop list.
