Pixies, Malkmus Set For CMJ/Rock Hall Fest

The Pixies, Stephen Malkmus and the Jicks, the Futureheads, the Misfits, Spoon, the Clientele, Mindless Self Indulgence, Powerman 5000, El Pus, Nashville Pussy and Digable Planets have signed on to perform as part of the inaugural CMJ/Rock Hall Music Fest. As previously reported, the event will be held June 9-11 at venues throughout Cleveland.

Thirty bands selected by CMJ and the Rock and Roll Hall of fame from more than 1,100 submissions will perform on stages sponsored by Gibson and MGD in the Festival Village at Nautica Complex.

Inside the Rock Hall, events will include discussions with hip-hop pioneer Grandmaster Flash and Sire Records co-founder Seymour Stein, an exhibit of modern rock show posters and the finals of the Guitar Player "Guitar Heroes" competition, to be judged by Joe Satriani, Steve Lukather and a guest to be announced.

Several ticket packages are available via the event's official Web site.
