Following up a big 2009 full of Phish dates and a new Phish album, frontman Trey Anastasio kicks off his 2010 by touring the U.S. this February with backing band Classic Tab.

Anastasio and Classic Tab's 16 date trek begins with a benefit show on Feb. 8 at Charlottesville, VA's Jefferson Theater. Proceeds from the gig, which falls on the birthday of Anastasio's late sister, will benefit the Kristine Anastasio Manning Memorial Fund. The tour continues up the east coast and hits the midwest before landing in Knoxville, Tenn. on Feb. 28. Tickets can be requested online beginning today (Jan. 6) at Treytickets.rlc.net. The onsales to the general public will be on Jan. 14, 15 and 16 for the various shows. Visit Trey.com for the exact onsale times and dates for each show.

Classic Tab, which has performed on several of Trey Anastasio's past projects, is a six-piece made up of sax player/flautist Russell Remington, trumpeter Jen Hartswick, drummer Russ Lawton, bassist Tony Markellis, keyboardist Ray Paczkowski and newly added trombonist Natalie Cressman.
