A Phish fan was in critical condition after plummeting 25 feet from a balcony during the band's Wednesday (Aug. 18) concert at New York's Jones Beach theater, according to The New York Daily News.

The unidentified man fell headfirst over a railing from the top mezzanine during Phish's set break. The shirtless fan suffered massive head trauma but did not injure anyone else in the crowd.

Because of the large crowd, a source said that paramedics had difficulty getting the man out of the stadium. He was later taken to Nassau University Medical Center last night.
