The Atlantic City stand will come at the end of Pearl Jam's three-week tour of Canada, which kicks off Sept. 2 in Vancouver and will close Sept. 25 in St. John's, Newfoundland. The band will also open a Sept. 28 show for the Rolling Stones in Pittsburgh.
Sources tell Billboard.com Pearl Jam is still in the studio working on its eighth studio album, which will be released either late this year or in early 2006 via J Records.
In April, guitarist Mike McCready told Billboard.com the quintet had "about 20-25" songs in the mix, comprising "some ballads and some pretty harder stuff, and some Who-ish type-stuff." Pearl Jam is expected to unveil some of this material during the fall run.
