Paramore

Paramore's remaining members are finally speaking out over the departure of bandmates Josh and Zac Farro last month. In an interview with MTV, singer Hayley Williams, guitarist Taylor York and bassist Jeremy Davis said they were "hurt" by a blog post in which the brothers fired off scathing accusations toward the band and its management, but they're assuring fans that Paramore will push past the drama.

"The three of us are still here -- we're not going anywhere," said Williams, who recently revealed that guitarist Justin York and drummer Josh Freese will be joining the band for its upcoming South American tour. "A lot of kids are still asking if the band is breaking up, and that just goes to show how broken the communication online can be, when rumors start traveling. So this is our way of showing that there's a future and we're stoked for it."

Paramore Names New Touring Bandmates

As previously reported, what seemed to be an amicable split between Paramore and the Farro brothers grew ugly when a blog post attributed to Josh Farro accused the band's management of focusing on Williams' needs over those of other members. Williams, York and Davis brushed off the post as "irrelevant" in their interview, but admitted they were hurt that their former bandmates would try to "discredit" Paramore's success.

"It was a drag. ...Once we released our statement, we all knew they would probably release something," says York. "So I think we were all kind of bracing ourselves...It was really hard to read, just because it seemed like a lot of the stuff was pretty irrelevant to what happened. I think that was the weird thing, 'cause it just didn't seem really necessary."

Paramore Confirms Departure of Two Founding Members

Williams made it clear that Justin York and Freese are simply joining Paramore for their South American trek, which kicks off Feb. 16 in Brazil, and are not becoming full-time replacements for Josh and Zac Farro. In the meantime, the group is apparently s tarting to work on its fourth album: Williams posted last week on Twitter that York "sent me the 1st official demo for me to write lyrics to. And I am so hopeful and motivated for the future!!"
