First single "The Obvious" was shipped to U.S. radio outlets in early December, and is available for streaming on the band's official Web site.
Orgy's breakthrough was a cover of New Order's "Blue Monday," which was featured on the band's 1998 debut, "Candyass." Its follow-up, "Vapor Transmission," was released in 2000 and peaked at No. 16 on The Billboard 200. It has sold about 334,000 copies in the U.S., according to Nielsen SoundScan.
The nine-track "Punk Static Paranoia" will be supported by a North American tour, dates for which will be announced at the end of the month, according to a spokesperson. Orgy intends to build D1 into a fully functioning label with a roster of young acts.
