MellowHype, the rap duo of Hodgy Beats and Left Brain that also belong to Odd Future, have signed a one-off deal with Fat Possum for the physical release of the previously issued "Blackenedwhite." The album, which was originally released for free on Odd Future's website on Halloween, has been remastered with bonus content for a summer release on CD and vinyl.
The news is the latest in a huge week for the L.A. rap group, which delivered a collectively unhinged performance in a Funny or Die video that debuted today (Mar. 1). The group's leader, Tyler, the Creator, received a Twitter shout-out from Kanye West for his freaky music video for "Yonkers," and was also photographed with Justin Bieber over the weekend.
