Norah Jones Making Film Debut In 'Blueberry Nights'

The Weinstein Co. has picked up Hong Kong director Wong Kar Wai's romantic comedy "My Blueberry Nights," which marks the feature acting debut of Grammy-winning jazz singer Norah Jones.

The project also marks the English-language feature debut of Wong, whose credits include "In the Mood for Love" and "Chungking Express." The Weinstein deal covers the United States, Australia and New Zealand.

Jones plays a woman who takes a long road trip to find true love and meets eccentric characters along the way. Jude Law, David Strathairn, Rachel Weisz, Tim Roth and Natalie Portman also star.

As reported earlier this week, Jones' third album, "Not Too Late," will arrive Jan. 30 via Blue Note.
