Rodgers co-wrote and co-produced the original track, which was drawn from the Cotillion album of the same name. Other stars tipped to be involved include Run-D.M.C., Kevin Bacon, Vanessa Williams, and Joan Rivers.
Meanwhile, more information has come to light regarding the all-star cover of Marvin Gaye's "What's Going On," as first reported earlier this month. Billboard Bulletin reports that the track, featuring U2's Bono, Backstreet Boys, Jennifer Lopez, 'N Sync, and Destiny's Child, will premiere today on Clear Channel radio stations and MTV. Columbia will on Oct. 23 release a single with five mixes.
Proceeds will benefit AIDS relief organizations worldwide as well as the United Way's September 11th Fund, which assists victims of last week's attacks.
