Nickelback, QOTSA, Trapt Meet 'The Punisher'

New tracks from Nickelback, Queens Of The Stone Age, Puddle Of Mudd, Trapt and, as previously reported, Drowning Pool, will be found on the soundtrack to "The Punisher." Due March 23 via Wind-Up, the set also sports tracks by Seether featuring Evanescence's Amy Lee, Damageplan featuring Jerry Cantrell, former Evanescence guitarist Ben Moody and Chevelle.

Drowning Pool's "Step Up" is the first new music from the group since the addition of vocalist Jason "Gong" Jones, who replaced late frontman Dave Williams. Queens Of The Stone Age offer up a cover of Romeo Void's "Never Say Never," recorded in 2000, while Moody's cut, "The End Has Come," is his first release since exiting Evanescence last year.

Other artists contributing songs to the 19-track "The Punisher" are Edgewater, Smile Empty Soul, Finger Eleven, Strata, Hatebreed, Submersed, Atomship and Mark Collie.

The long-awaited adaptation of the Marvel comic book, "The Punisher" stars John Travolta and Tom Jane. It will open April 19 in U.S. theaters.
