'N Sync Gathers Stars For Children's Charity Event

Comments

'N Sync has confirmed the celebrity lineup for its third annual "Challenge for the Children" charity event. Scheduled for July 27-29 in Las Vegas, the fund-raiser will feature appearances by artists such as Britney Spears, Destiny's Child, Ludacris, and Lil' Bow Wow, and a host of athletes, including NBA stars Reggie Miller, Tracy McGrady, and Antawn Jamison.

The weekend begins with a Friday evening 'N Sync concert, which will include a number of surprise guests. Saturday afternoon is highlighted by "Celebrity Challenge," a series of physical competitions, including sumo wrestling and a slam dunk contest, hosted by commentators Ahmad Rashad and Pat O'Brien. A VIP auction will be held in the evening. Sunday afternoon's basketball game will conclude the weekend, with Ludacris performing at half-time.

Other guests scheduled to appear throughout the weekend include singer Christina Milian, actor Donald Faison, R&B artist/producer Jermaine Dupri, rapper Ja Rule, actor Tom Arnold, singer Dante Thomas, and supermodel Tyson Beckford. Tickets for the individual events are available at Tickets.com. A two-day pass, which does not include the Friday concert, can also be purchased.

'N Sync's forthcoming Jive album, "Celebrity," is due July 24. First single "Pop" is No. 41 on The Billboard Hot 100 this week.
